Violet H. Elmer, 88, of Bridgeton, died
Thursday afternoon, April 15, 2004, in Renaissance Nursing Center,
Bridgeton, where she had been a patient for 3 weeks.
Mrs. Elmer was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of the late Walter and
Annabelle Springer. She had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.
She was a homemaker and was a member of West Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Charles S. Elmer; two sons, Charles O.
Elmer, Rochester, N. Y. and Melvin H. Elmer, Laurel Lake; one brother,
Walter Springer, Bridgeton; nine grandchildren and fifteen great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Buono and
Marion Clark.
Her pastor, Rev. David L. Strope, will conduct funeral services in the
Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on
Tuesday morning, April 20, at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Overlook
Cemetery, Bridgeton. Friends will be received Tuesday morning between 10:00
and 11:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the funeral home. Written
