Shirley M. Williams, age 66, of Shiloh
died unexpectedly Monday evening, April 12, 2004 in Pittsburgh, PA while
visiting at the home of her daughter, Judith.
Born in Quinton Township the daughter of
the late Carl and Lucy Cuff Pierce, she was the wife of James O. Williams.
She had been a Shiloh resident for the past 31 years.
Mrs. Williams was formerly employed as a
bookkeeper with the Farmers & Merchants National Bank.
She was an active member and the first
female member of the Shiloh Fire and Rescue Squad and a member of the
Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Tribe of Indians where she had formerly served as
treasurer and Tribal Councilwoman.
In addition to her husband, she is
survived by a daughter, Judith A. Thompson and her husband John of
Pittsburgh; four stepchildren who all reside in California; a brother, Gary
Pierce of Florida; six sisters, Mary Madigan of W.Va., Evelyn Bard and
Dolores Jordan both of Bridgeton, Isabel Vasquez of Rosenhayn, Dorothy
Mosley of DE, and Carolyn Colburn of Millville; two stepsisters, Marie
Schaffer of Bridgeton and Alice Johnson of Penns Grove and two
grandchildren, Mark K. Pierce and his wife Natalie of Pittsburgh and Kristy
N. Pierce of Pittsburgh. She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Pierce,
Jr. and Alvin “Bucky” Pierce.
Funeral services will held on Saturday at
12 noon at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper
Deerfield Township.
Burial will be made at Fernwood Memorial
Park in Hopewell Township.
