Raymond H. Loatman, age 73, of Upper
Deerfield Township, died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia
where he had been a patient for one day. He had been in declining health for
the past year.
Born in Hopewell Township, he was the son
of the late Leon and Myrtle Pierce Loatman. He had lived at his present
address for one year prior to that had resided in the Vineland and Bridgeton
areas. Mr. Loatman was also predeceased by his adopted parents, Walton and
Maybelle Seeney who raised him.
Mr. Loatman was a truck driver his entire
working life having worked for several local trucking companies. At the time
of his retirement he was a driver for Progresso Foods Company in Vineland.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond P.
Loatman of Upper Deerfield Township and Fred Loatman of Fairfield Township;
two daughters, Cindylou and Melissa Loatman both of Bridgeton; three
sisters, Bertha Rivera of Greenwich, Florence Seeney of Salem and Elsie
Webster of Florida; a brother, Melvin Durham of Fairton, 7 grandchildren, 10
great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two
daughters, Sharen Lee Loatman and Felecia Loatman, a brother, Leon Loatman
and two sisters, Edith Williams and Marie Gould.
Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday at 4 p.m. from the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway # 77,
Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the services at the
funeral home.
Burial will be private at the convenience
of the family.
