Cynthia M. Taylor, aged 48, of Millville,
died Monday evening, Aug. 4, 2004, in South Jersey Hospital System-Newcomb.
She had been in failing health for 5 years and seriously ill for the past
year.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of Anna Lee Jones
Harris of Port Norris and the late Lloyd Badger. She had lived in Millville
for the past 10 years and prior to that had been a lifetime resident of Port
Norris.
She attended Commercial Township School in Port Norris. Graduating from
Millville Senior High School. She was employed at Woodbine Developmental
Center for 23 years. Cynthia began her career at the age of 19 and was
promoted to a supervisory position, which she held until her illness which
required an early retirement in 1999.
She was a former member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Port Norris.
Besides her mother, survivors include: her husband, Samuel J. Taylor, Sr.,
Baltimore, Md.; three daughters, Celeste Murray and her husband Brian,
Pittsgrove, Kisha Palmer and her husband Sam, New Brunswick and Jolene
Badger, Vineland; one son, Samuel Jerome Taylor, Jr., Millville; four
grandchildren, Andrew Badger, D’Andre Young, Brandon Badger and Alexis
Olevera; five sisters and two brothers, Virginia Badger, Beaumont, Tex.,
Patricia Johnson, Millville, Vusul “Junior” Saleen, Ellendale Md., Karen
Jackson, Vineland, Gertrude “Mitzy”, Hammonton, Terri Badger, Bridgeton and
James Badger, Trenton; god sister, Vernice Baldwin, Millville; 14 nieces, 10
nephews; 8 great nephews; 9 great nieces; 1 god child, Christopher Clemens;
a special niece, April Badger and a host of friends and co-workers.

Elder Dr. Mary McGee will conduct funeral services in the Faith Tabernacle
Church, 1665 North Ave., Port Norris, on Monday, Aug. 9, at 12:00 O’clock
noon. Burial will be in Haleyville Cemetery, Commercial Township. Friends
will be received Monday morning one hour prior to the services at the
church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett Funeral
