Anthony Toscano, age 70, of Upper
Deerfield Township died Friday morning, December 24, 2004 at his home.
Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son
of the late Frances and Nancy Polise Toscano, he was the husband of Jean
Smaniotto Toscano. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lydia Timmins
Toscano. He had lived at his present address since October of 2003 and had
been a Vineland resident prior to that.
Mr. Toscano was a veteran of the Korean
Conflict having served with the United States Navy.
Prior to his retirement due to disability
he had assisted his brother in the operation of Paul’s Pizzeria in Vineland
and had also operated his own pizzeria in Bridgeton. Previous to that he had
worked in the commercial glass and iron foundry industries.
Mr. Toscano was a member of the Maranatha
Baptist Church in Millville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Jones of
Greenwich and Connie Lee Toscano of Marmora; one son, Anthony E. Toscano of
Vineland; one brother, Frank Toscano of Vero Beach, FL; one sister, Rachel
Beakley of Vineland, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by a sister, Madeline Mahoney.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening,
December 28th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township.
Graveside committal services will be
private at the convenience of the family at the Cumberland County Veterans
Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
