Ona V. Watson, aged 70, of Fairfield
Township, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at her late residence. She had been in
failing health for the past 15 years.
Ms. Watson was born in Branchland, W. Va. and was the daughter of the late
Elihu and Alisa Warrick Watson. She had been a resident of Fairfield
Township for 25 year and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton.
Retired for the past 15, she had been employed with the former
Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton for 27 years and after their closing,
with Kimble Glass Co. in Vineland for 3 years.
Survivors include: one brother, Emory Watson and his wife Joan, Grand
Rapids, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Willa J. Watson, Pittsgove; two nieces,
Kathryn DeCarlo and Michelle Thomas; three nephews, Steven Watson, Keith
Watson and Shawn Watson and several great nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Watson and a sister, Lucille
Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted by Hospice Chaplain, Rev. Robert
Velasquez, on Wednesday morning, Feb. 25, at 11:00 O’clock in the Padgett
Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Burial will
be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Towonship. Friends will be received
Wednesday morning one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In
