Willie B. Glenn, Sr., age 88, of
Bridgeton died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at South Jersey
HealthCare-Bridgeton.
Born in
Monticello, South Carolina, the son of the late Tom and Sara Griffin Glenn
he was the husband of the late Dora Williams Glenn. He had been a Bridgeton
resident for 21 years and prior to that had resided in Elmer and Upper
Deerfield Township.
Prior to his
retirement 21 years ago Mr. Glenn had worked for the Ivan Garrison Farms in
Upper Deerfield Township for many years.
He is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Glenn of
Upper Deerfield Twp., Dora Scurry of Norma, Mary Mears of Fairfield Twp. and
Viola Glenn of Bridgeton; five sons, Willie Glenn, Jr., of Millville,
Gregory, Herbert and O.D. Glenn all of Bridgeton and Michael Glenn of
Vineland; three brothers, John, Douglas and Leroy Glenn all of South
Carolina and a sister, Viola Copland of South Carolina and many
grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters,
Alice McKinstry, Elizabeth Glenn and Lorine Yarborough.
Funeral services will be held on Monday,
January 26th at 12 noon from the Bethel Pentecostal Church, 128 South
Avenue, Bridgeton.
Burial will take
place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp.
Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to the services
at the church.
