Calvin C. Stiles, 71, of Bridgeton,
died Sunday evening, Jan. 4, 2004, in South Jersey Healthcare-Bridgeton.
He had been in failing health for the past 6 months.
Mr. Stiles was born in Mannington Township
and was the son of the late Andrew and Lillian Langley Stiles. He had
been a lifetime resident of the Bridgeton area.
He had been employed with Zucca’s Tobacco
Distribution Co. in Vineland in the warehouse and shipping dept. for over
11 years. Prior to that he had worked in the shipping department at the
former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton for 32 years.
He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed
fishing, music and collecting artifacts.
Survivors include: his wife, Vivian Nunley
Stiles; two daughters, Alicia Szydlowski and her husband Tom, Malaga and
Melodie Rain and her husband Robert, Deerfield Township; two sons, Calvin
C. Stiles, II and his wife Michelle, Vineland and Shawn J. Stiles, Stow
Creek Township; on brother, Paul Stiles, South Carolina; five sisters,
Evelyn Senda, Bridgeton, Kathryn Priem, Bridgeton, Mildred Stiles,
Cedarville, Esther LaDow, Fairton and Marie Rudish, Bridgeton and four
grandsons, Kelly Stiles, Brendan Stiles, Calvin Stiles, III and Anthony
Stiles.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday
afternoon, Jan. 7, at 1:00 O’clock in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State
Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Burial will be in Fernwood Memorial
Park, Hopewell Township. Friends will be received Wednesday afternoon one
hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
