Timothy D.
Tasso, 56, of Upper Deerfield Township, died Saturday evening, Jan. 10,
2004, in South Jersey Healthcare-Elmer. He had been in failing health for
the past year and a half.
Mr. Tasso
was born in Vineland and was the son of the late Daniel J. and Meredith
Yousko Tasso. He had been a resident of Upper Deerfield for the past 33
years and prior to that had lived in Vineland.
He had
been a general manager with Tichenor Motor Parts and had worked in the
Vineland, Bridgeton, Millville and Cape May Court House businesses. He
had also been employed with Parts America for a short period of time.
He was a
graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1967 and had attended the
Taylor School of Business in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the U. S.
Army, serving during the Viet Nam Conflict.
A member
of Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton, he had served as a leader of
the Weeblos Troupe 47 in Seabrook. He served as a troupe committeeman and
was a Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America. Tim enjoyed
fishing, bird watching, traveling and spending time with his family. Mr.
and Mrs. Tasso would have celebrated their 34th wedding
anniversary this coming August.
Survivors
include: his wife, Linda Taylor Tasso, one son, Timothy D. Tasso, III,
Oaklyn; one daughter, Christine M. Anderson and her husband Brian,
Vineland; one grandson, Alexander J. Anderson; maternal grandmother, Anne
DeWillet, Vineland; godmother, Janet Sees, Vineland and several aunts,
uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Liturgy will
be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 312 North Pearl
St., Bridgeton, on Wednesday morning, Jan. 14, at 10:00 O’clock. Burial
will be in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Friends will be received at the
Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on
Tuesday evening between 7:00 and 9:00 O’clock and Wednesday morning
