Chester G. Tredway, age 89, of Pittsgrove
died Saturday evening, January 31, 2004 at the Renaissance Nursing Center in
Bridgeton. He had been in declining health for the past 10 years.
Born in Paulsboro the son of the late
Edward and Beulah Tredway, he was the husband of Frances Kayser Tredway. He
had been a Pittsgrove Township resident for 30 years moving to that area
from Woodbury.
Before his retirement 29 years ago he had
been employed with the Mobil Oil Company Plant in Paulsboro for 28 years.
Previous to that he had worked at the DuPont Chemical Company Chambers Works
Plant in Deepwater.
Mr. Tredway was a veteran of World War
Two having served as a military policeman with the United States Army.
In addition to his wife, survivors
include two daughters, Jeanne Duke of Woodbury Heights and Carol Halliwell
of Jacksonville, Fl; a son, Carl Zorn of Vineland, 9 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at the
convenience of the family.
Cremation and inurnment will take place
at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
