Geneva C. Watford, aged 68, of Bridgeton,
died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, on Renaissance Nursing Center, Bridgeton. She
had been in failing health for 15 years.
Mrs. Watford was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of the late
Nathaniel and Clarice Hill. She had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.
Prior to retiring on disability, she had been employed as a supervisor with
the former Val Mode Co. in Bridgeton for several years.
She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Bridgeton and the
Wenonah Temple # 165, Ladies Elks.
Survivors include: her husband, James Watford; two sons, A. J. Watford,
Dothan, Ala. and Brian Watford, Lithia Springs, Ga.; one sister, Esther
Jones, Bridgeton; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, Feb. 6, at 1:00 O’clock, in
John Wesley United Methodist Church, Baltimore Ave., Bridgeton. Burial will
be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. There will be no public viewing. Funeral
arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett Funeral Home, Upper
