Juanita Bowleg Glover
 

Juanita Bowleg Glover, 76, of Burlington Township and formerly of Bridgeton, died Monday morning, July 12, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Sandra in Burlington Township. She had been in declining health for the past 5 years.

Born in Tavares, Florida the daughter of the late Warren and Zola Douglas Glover, she had been a resident of Burlington Township for 2 years, prior to that she had resided in Bridgeton and Florida.

Juanita started her primary education in Tavares, Florida, where she spent her formative years. She continued her schooling at Holsey Institute in Cordee, Georgia, graduating as Salutatorian of her class. Upon her completion of high school, she was awarded a scholarship to Albany State College. She also attended Cumberland County College and then Glassboro State College and completed a major in early childhood education at Georgetown University.

Ms. Glover was one of the founders of the Test City Child Care Center in Bridgeton now known as Tri-County Community Action Center. She worked there as a teacher, social service worker and finally as director for 13 years. She was a dedicated member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Bridgeton where she had served as church clerk, senior choir member, missionary board member and secretary to the pastor. She was also an active member at Friendship CME Church in Tavares, FL.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra B. Thomas and her husband Mark of Burlington, Township; two sons, James Stanley Glover and his wife Betty of Warner Robbins, GA and Errol Bowleg and his wife Josephine of Bridgeton; a stepson, Max Bowleg and his wife Willamae and a stepdaughter, Ernestine Bowleg all of Nassau, Bahamas; four brothers, Curtis, Edward, Claudius and Michael Glover; and three sisters, Mary Glover, Patricia Glover and Pauline Atkins, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Alfred Sorey and Earl Bowleg and a brother, Warren Glover, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19th at 12 noon at the Bethel Pentecostal Church, 128 South Avenue, Bridgeton.
