Rose M. Pippitone, aged 76, of Bridgeton,
died Thursday evening, July 22, 2004 at her home. She had been in failing
health for the past 8 years.
The wife of Joseph E. Pippitone, she was born in Masontown, Pa. and was the
daughter of the late Peter Forgen and Giaconda Pichini Forgen. She had been
a Bridgeton resident since 1948, coming from Masontown, Pa.
Mrs. Pippitone had been employed with the former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in
Bridgeton for 15 years and had worked in the Selecting Department of the D&C
Shifts.
She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila RC Church in Bridgeton. She loved
her family, traveling and flowers.
Besides her husband, survivors include one son, Edward A. Pippitone of
Bridgeton; one daughter, Cynthia L. Hooten and her husband, John A. of
Shiloh; two brothers, Martin Forgen of Uniontown, Pa. and George Forgen of
Vineland; one sister, Antoinette Seneri of Masontown, Pa.; and two
grandchildren, James W. Knipe III and Kaileigh Rose Marie Hooten. She was
preceded indeath by four brothers, Dominic Forgen, John Forgen, Louis Forgen
and Chester Forgen and two sisters, Mary Forgen and Julia Peterson.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic
Church, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton, on Tuesday morning, July 27, at 10:30
a.m. Following the services, burial of the cremated remains will take place
in the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. There will be no
public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs. Pippitone’s memory
to either St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton, N.J.
