Rebecca D. “Becky” Edwards, age 99, of
Tarpon Springs, Florida and formerly of Bridgeton died Sunday, June 27, 2004
at the Peninsula Care & Rehabilitation Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Becky was born in Bridgeton, the daughter
of the late Nathan and Elizabeth Woodruff Edwards, she moved to Tarpon
Springs, Florida in February of 2001, from her native Bridgeton, where she’d
retired as a private secretary after 30 years with the former A.H. Lupton,
Jr., Inc. General Contractors in Bridgeton. She was the oldest member of the
Trinity United Methodist Church in Bridgeton.
Survivors include one great-niece,
Patricia Roever of Tarpon Springs, Florida; one great-nephew, Dr. Paul K.
Ayars, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; one great great-nephew, Christopher
Roever of Tarpon Springs, Florida and four great great-nieces, Cynthia
Roever of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Jennifer Ayars of Austin, Texas and
Katherine Ayars and Stephanie Ayars both of California.
Funeral services and entombment will be
private at Overlook Mausoleum in Bridgeton. There will be no public viewing.
Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett Funeral
Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Written condolences
