Melvin R. Wilmore, age 47, of Fairfield
Township died Sunday morning, June 27, 2004 at his home. He had been in
declining health for the past 5 years.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of Dorothy
Bonner Wilmore and the late Walter T. “Buddy” Wilmore, he was the husband of
Amanda C. Calloway Wilmore. He had lived at his present address for 14
years, having previously resided in Trenton and Bridgeton.Prior to his
retirement due to health reasons in 2002, he had been employed as a printer
with the Rock Ten Printing Company in Vineland and before that he’d worked
for Newshire Forms Company in Bridgeton and B & B Poultry in Norma.
Melvin was a member of Christlike
Ministries of Deliverance Church in Vineland.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his
mother, Dorothy Bonner Brown of Bridgeton; seven daughters, Connie Burch,
Michelle Fennell and Melvina Fennell all of Bridgeton, Marlo Butler of
Pleasantville, Cashonna Wells of Trenton, Tammy Lurry of Hartford, Conn. and
Amelia Wilmore of Fairfield Township; three sons, Isaiah Meritta of Florida
and Tywan Wilmore and Melvin Wilmore both of Fairfield Township; six
brothers, Willie Andrew Bonner, Maurice Brown, Alvin Brown, Maurice Gravely
and Michael Gravely all of Bridgeton and David Wilmore of Texas; three
sisters, Althea Andrews and Gloria DeShields both of Vineland and Yalonda
Wilmore of Salem and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the
Christlike Ministries of Deliverance Church, 1520 South Orchard Road,
Vineland on Friday, July 2, 2004 at 12:00 O’clock noon. Burial will be in
Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. Friends will be received on
Friday between the hours of 10:00 and 12:00 O’clock, prior to the services
at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett
Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Written
