Burdella Collins, age 76, of Millville,
died Saturday evening, Nov. 13, 2004 at her home. She had been in declining
health for the past two months.
Born in Bridgeton, the daughter of the
late Arthur and Florida Mae Knotts Corley, she had lived at her present
address for 42 years, moving there from Bridgeton.
Prior to her retirement in 1992, she had
been employed at the Vineland Developmental Center in Vineland for over 28
years. She also worked as a Crossing Guard for the Bridgeton Public School
System.
Burdella was a member of the Union
Baptist Temple and the Elks Wenonah Temple #165 in Bridgeton. She was an
avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking and the casinos.
Survivors include, two sisters, Betty
Gray of New Britain, Conn. and Elizabeth DelValle of Bridgeton; and her
faithful and loving companion of 48 years, Ramon “Raymond” Rosario of
Millville.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on
Friday afternoon, November 19th at 2:00 O’clock. Burial will be made in
Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. Friends will be received Friday
afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the
