Helen A. Ciffra Rayhart, of Hopewell
Township, NJ, formerly of Johnstown, PA., died Wednesday evening in
Commercial Township, NJ at the home of her grandson, Tim Pollock. She had
been in declining health for the past two weeks.
The wife of the late Joseph L. Rayhart,
Sr., she was born in Johnstown, PA. the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna
Kozalcik Ciffra. She had been a resident of Hopewell Township, NJ for only
the past six years, moving there from Johnstown, PA. Before retiring, she
was a self-employed beautician in Johnstown and also had worked in the coal
mines during World War II and her father’s bake shop in Johnstown as a young
girl.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Joyce
Pollock of Hopewell Township, NJ; two sons, Joseph Rayhart, Jr. of Morriston,
Fla. and Robert Rayhart of Carlisle, PA.; sixteen grandchildren, forty-one
great-grandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by a daughter, Joann Kolodjay and a sister, Nellie Geyer.
Funeral services will be held at the
Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway #77, Upper Deerfield Township, NJ
on Monday evening, Nov. 15, 2004 at 8:00 O’clock. Burial will be made at the
Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lower Yoder Township, PA. Friends will be
received on Monday evening between 7:00 and 8:00 O’clock, prior to the
services at the funeral home.
