Anna F. Johnson Ridgeway, age 78, of
Fairfield Township, died early Sunday morning, Nov. 14, 2004 at the home of
her daughter, Patricia A. Hickman, in Glassboro. She had been in declining
health for the past 18 months.
Born in Bridgeton, the daughter of the
late Elwood and Artalissa Wright Johnson, she had been a resident of
Fairfield Township most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, she had been
employed with the Cumberland County Home Health Aide Service, the former
Jamesway Department Store in Upper Deerfield Township and the former Price
Label Company in Bridgeton.
She was a member of St. John’s United
Methodist Church in Fordville.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia
A. Hickman of Glassboro and Rosemary Capetillo of Salem; five sons, Walter
Roland Ridgway, William W. Ridgeway, Charles E. Ridgway and Albert C.
Ridgway all of Fairfield Township and James I. Ridgeway of Millville; one
brother, Melvin “Bucky” Johnson of Fairfield Township; nine grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Rebecca
Pierce.
Funeral services will be held at the
Fordville United Methodist Church, Fordville Road, Fairfield Township on
Thursday morning, Nov. 18th at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be made at
Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. Friends will be received on
Wednesday evening, Nov. 17th, between 7:00 and 9:00 O’clock at the church.
