Joan F. Rose, aged 71, of Bridgeton, died
Thursday morning, Nov. 25, 2004, in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape
May Court House.
Joan was born in Bridgeton and was the youngest daughter of the late Elbert
and Bessie Pearce Rose. She had been a lifetime resident of Bridgeton.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, she had been employed with South Jersey
Hospital System-Bridgeton for 13 years. Before that she had worked at the
former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton for 28 years.
Survivors include: three sons, Robert W. Rose, Bridgeton, Ernest Francis
Rose and his wife Diane, Upper Deerfield Township and Richard D. Rose,
Asbury Park; one brother, James Rose of Pittsgrove; four sisters, Margaret
Pearce, Point Pleasant, Anna Mae Gehring, Bridgeton, Darlene Hamburg, Buena
and Joyce Ketcham, Hopewell Township, three grandchildren, Erik and his wife
Tina, Jimmy and Roshelle and two great grandchildren, Adrian and Erik, Jr.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Warren Rose, Byron Rose,
Vincent Rose, John Rose, Franklin Rose, Wilbur Rose and Ronald Rose.
Private graveside funeral services will be held, at the convenience of the
family, at Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. Interment will follow
the services. There will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests donations in Ms. Rose’s memory be made to either the
Bridgeton Emergency Ambulance Association or to the American Diabetes
Association, 1060 North Kings Highway, Suite 309, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
