Julia C. Brown Upshur, age 89, of Upper
Deerfield Township, died Friday morning, Nov. 12, 2004 in the South Jersey
Regional Medical Center, Vineland, where she had been a patient for one
week. She had been in declining health for the past two years.
The wife of the late Nixon Upshur, she
was born in Bridgeton, the daughter of the late John and Julia Clark Brown
and had been a resident of Bridgeton most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, Julia had been
employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Bridgeton Hospital for 25
years.
She was a member of John Wesley United
Methodist Church in Bridgeton.
Survivors include one sister, Ivory LeGrand of Upper Deerfield Township and
one brother, Neil Frazier of Florida. She was predeceased by a brother,
Clarence Brown.
Funeral services will be held at the
Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township on
Monday afternoon, Nov. 22nd at 2:00 O’clock. Burial will be made in Cedar
Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. Friends will be received on Monday
afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the
