Liliian A. Carter
 


Lillian A. Carter, aged 53, of Vineland, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, in Renaissance Nursing Center, Bridgeton. She had been in failing health for the past 4 years.

Mrs. Carter was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of Annabelle Oliver Scarbrough of Vineland and the late Curtis Scarbrough. She had lived in Vineland for 15 years and prior to that had resided in Rosenhayn.

Prior to her retirement, due to poor health, she had been employed with Venice Maid Foods Co. in Vineland. She had previously worked at Wheaton Glass Co. in Millville and the Kimble Glass Co. in Vineland.

She was a member of Grace Cathedral Family Worship Center in Mizpah.

Besides her mother, survivors include: four sons, Corey Carter, Harvey Carter and Jason Carter, all of Vineland and Ja’Keeba Carter, Woodstown; two daughters, Andrea Johnson, Seabrook and Kimberly Ann Carter, Marietta, Ga.; seven sisters, Lugean Sharp, Vineland, Alberta Pierce, Rosenhayn, Frankie Scarbrough, Newfield, Ruth Towsend, Vineland, Tissie Witt, Newfield, Sheila Dunkley, Vineland and Brenda Day, Glassboro; two brothers, Curtis Scarbrough, Jr. and Edward Scarbrough, both of Vineland and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, Sept. 14, at 11:00 O’clock, in the Voice of Deliverance New Covenant Church, 1413 East Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Burial will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. Friends will be received Tuesday morning between 9:00 and 11:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the church.
