Edith Maxine Mansfield
 

Edith Maxine Mansfield, 79, of Cedarville, died suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, in the S. J. Healthcare Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Mansfield was born in Alloway and was the daughter of the late Alvin F. and Alma Rathbone Green. The wife of the late Samuel L. Mansfield, Jr., she had been a Cedarville resident for 35 years and prior to that had lived in Alloway.

Retired for the past 16 years, she had formerly been employed in the dietary department at Cumberland Manor Nursing Center for 28 years.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Hopewell Township.

Survivors include: two daughters, Carole A. Eckart, Salem and Peggy Jacobsen, Haugesund, Norway; four sisters, Lena Clymer, Pennsville, Eudeen “Dolly” Fleck, California, Betty Ann DeWilde, Florida and Rita Goslin, Franklinville;; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and her first husband Frank Shimp.

Rev. Milton Akey will conduct funeral services in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday morning, Sept. 27, at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. Friends will be received Monday morning one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
