Willadean V. Parker, aged 69, of
Greenwich, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, in South Jersey Health Care-Elmer,
where she had been a patient for 2 ˝ weeks. She had been in failing health
for the past 6 months.
Mrs. Parker was born in Beckley, W. Va. and was the daughter of the late
Richard and Adoulia Armentrout. The wife of the late John W. Parker, she had
lived in Greenwich for 30 years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton
and Deerfield Township.
Until their closing, she had been employed with Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in
Bridgeton for 30 years. After that she had worked as a Nurse’s Aide in
Cumberland Manor and the Bishop McCarthy Residence.
She had formerly attended Centerton Free Will Baptist Church, where she had
played piano during the services. She loved flower gardening.
Survivors include: two daughters, Judy L. Halter and her husband, Dennis,
Sr., Vineland and Vanessa M. Parker, Greenwich; one son, Jeffery K, Parker,
Greenwich; one brother, Edsel Armentrout, Hinton, W. Va.; one sister, Sharon
Johnson, Pulaski, Va.; six grandchildren, Dennis Halter, Jr., Gregory
Halter, William Halter, Vera Dover, Kyle Parker and Ciearra Parker and four
great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory
Parker; a daughter, Sherry Armentrout; three brothers, Calvin Armentrout,
Parker Armentrout and Charles Armentrout and a sister, Janice Armentrout.
Rev. Paul D. Sprouse will conduct funeral services in the Padgett Funeral
Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Friday morning,
Sept. 10, at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Centerton Free Will Baptist
Cemetery, Pittsgrove Township. Friends will be received Friday morning
between 9:30 and 11:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the funeral home.
