Benjamin A. Barresi, aged 13 of
Bridgeton, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005 in Children’s Hospital, Phila.,
Pa. He had been in failing health for several months.
The adopted son of Frances Wilmore Barresi, Benjamin was born in
Vineland and had lived in Bridgeton since his adoption.
Benjamin was an 8th grade student at Buckshutem Elementary School in
Bridgeton.
Besides his mother, survivors include: three brothers Michael Downing,
Pennsgrove, Tarief Barresi and Kendal Barresi, both of Bridgeton; three
sisters Jessica Downing and Tyra Barresi, both of Bridgeton and Theresa
Jackson, Texas; grandparents Robert and Ardythe Evans, Vineland and
Alberta Mackey, Atlantic City, his “Pop Pop”, Charles Morgan and several
nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his biological mother
Laura Jean Hannah.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 12 o’clock noon in
Glory Tabernacle Church, Buckshutem Rd, Fairfield Twp with the Rev.
David Hadley officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park,
Hopewell Twp. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday morning
between 11 and 12 o’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction
