Joseph Michael Saunders, Jr., aged 29, of
Vineland, died Friday, Aug. 19, in Vineland, the result of injuries received
in a motor vehicle accident on South West Blvd.
The husband of Chitima McArthur Saunders, he was born in Bridgeton and was
the son of Joseph M. Saunders of Cedarville and the late Linda Brown
Saunders. He had been a resident of Vineland for 8 years and prior to that
had resided in Camden.
Joseph had been employed with Consalo & Sons Produce in Vineland for the
past 7 years.
Besides his wife and father, survivors include: two sons, Joseph M.
Saunders, III and Nassir Saunders, both of Vineland; two daughters, Jaitima
Saunders, Vineland and Rejoyce Cropper, South Carolina;; two step-sons,
Rafael Gonzalez and Hector Gonzalez, both of Vineland; two step-daughters,
Cierra McArthur and Alina Gonzalez, both of Vineland; three brothers, David
Saunders, Leon Saunders and Jimmy Saunders, all of Bridgeton and one
granddaughter.
Rev. Curtis Johnson will conduct funeral services in the PADGETT FUNERAL
HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Friday, Aug. 26,
at 12:00 O’clock noon. Burial will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield
Township. There will be no public viewing. Written condolences may be sent
