John F. “Jack” Winner, Jr., aged 72, of
Fairfield Township, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, 2005, at the
home of his daughter Cheryl Layman of Vineland, where he had been staying
for the past few days.
The husband of the late Doris Ann Budd Winner, he was born in Petersburg and
was the son of the late John F. and Blanche Collins Winner. He had lived at
his present address for 8 years and prior to that had been a resident of
Bridgeton and Fairton.
Retired for the past 10 years, he had formerly been employed with the
Cumberland County Road Department for 35 years.
Jack was a member the Loyal Order of Moose Lodges in Bridgeton & Vineland.
Besides his daughter, survivors include: five grandchildren, Jacklynn
Messina and Brian Messina, both of Rosenhayn, Jill Layman, Cristin Layman
and Kimberly Layman, all of Vineland; one great grandson, Brent John
Messina, Rosenhayn and four cousins, Kay Eller, Eldora, Howard Woolley,
Eldora, Bobby Woolley Tuckahoe and Frank Woolley, Tuckahoe.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Aug. 13, at 10:00 O’clock,
in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield
Township. Burial will be in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Upper Deerfield Township.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning between 9:00 and
