Ada Elizabeth “Betty” Williams, 65,
of Stow Creek Township, died at her home on Sunday evening, Dec. 4,
2005. She had been in failing health for the past 6 months.
The wife of Jimmy Williams, she was born in Vineland and was the
daughter of Lillian Gardner Richmond of Newfield and the late Fred
Richmond. She had lived in Stow Creek for 32 years and prior to that had
been a resident of Millville.
She had previously worked for the former Wilmington Dry Goods Store in
Vineland for over 12 years.
Betty was a member of Centerton Free Will Baptist Church in Pittsgrove
Township.
Besides her husband and mother, survivors include: four sons, David Cole
and his wife Donna, William Williams and his wife Lisa and Wayne
Williams and his wife Sylvia, all of Millville and Jimmy Williams and
his wife Charlene of Bridgeton; four daughters, Sue Smith and her
husband Edward, Robin Wurster and her husband Ronald and Pamela “Penny”
Williams and her companion Clarence Welden, all of Millville and Diane
Fishpaw and her husband David, Rockville, Md.; two brothers, Danny
Richmond, Florida and William Richmond, Upper Deerfield Township; twenty
nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by two grandsons, William Earl Overstreet, III and Brian Cole; a
great granddaughter, Shayla Pollock; three brothers, Wayne Guessford,
Charles Guessford and Fred Guessford and a sister, Merle Guesford.
Her minister, Rev. Paul D. Sprouse, will conduct funeral services in the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township,
on Friday morning, Dec. 9, at 10:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Centerton
Free Will Baptist Cemetery, Pittsgrove. A viewing will be held in the
funeral home Thursday evening between 7:00 and 8:30 O’clock. Written
