Leroy Patterson, 82, of Bridgeton,
formerly of Cedarville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, in Renaissance
Nursing Center, Bridgeton, after a brief illness.
The husband of Mamie Furlow Patterson, he was born in Americus, Ga. and was
the son of the late Jim and Emma Chaney Patterson. He had lived in Bridgeton
for 16 years and prior to that had been a long time resident of Cedarville.
Prior to his retirement he had been employed with Maple Run Farms and Level
Acre Farms in Cedarville.
He was a member of Second Pilgrim Baptist Church in Cedarville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by eight godchildren. He was preceded in
death by eight brothers.
Rev. Robert G. Walters will conduct funeral services in the Pilgrim Baptist
Church, Cedarville-Newport Road, Cedarville, on Tuesday afternoon, March 1.
At 1:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedarville. Friends
will be received Tuesday afternoon between 12:00 and 1:00 O’clock, prior to
the services at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of
