John N. Richards, Sr., age 62, of
Hopewell Township died Saturday morning, February 12, 2005 at the
Renaissance Nursing Center in Bridgeton where he was a rehabilitation
patient. He had been in declining health for the past four months.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of the late
William D.C. and Carolena “Lena” Burch Richards, he was the husband of Nancy
Pettit Richards. John had been a Hopewell Township resident most of his
life.
Prior to his retirement 11 years ago, Mr.
Richards had been employed at the
E.I.DuPont Chambers works in Deepwater for 31 years.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a
life member of the Quinton Sportsman’s Club and the National Muzzle Loading
Rifle Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived
by a daughter, Robin Greene and her husband Herb of Glassboro; a son, John
N. Richards, Jr. and his wife Dee of Carney’s Point; a brother, William D.C.
Richards, Jr. and his wife Janie of King of Prussia, PA; three
grandchildren, Ashley Richards, Taylor Greene and Mason Storm Greene; a
nephew, William Keith Richards of Florida; a niece, Sherri R. Clarke of
Michigan; a brother in law, George C. Pettit and his wife Lee of Hopewell
Township; two sister in laws, Donna Lee Bertucci and her husband Vincent and
Tammy Tisa and her husband John all of Cedarville. He was predeceased by a
sister in law, Sandee Reichle.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on
Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be made at the Cohansey Baptist Cemetery in Roadstown.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the
services at the funeral home.
