Edith E. Brent, aged 72, of Vineland,
died at her home on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Brent was born in Elmer and was the daughter of the late William Bard,
Sr. and Louise Johnson Bard. She had been a lifelong area resident.
After her retirement from the Vineland Developmental Center, she had worked
as manager of Brentwood Towers.
She was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indian Tribe and New Bethel
A. M. E. Church in Vineland. Edith loved horticulture, crocheting, traveling
and spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, William Brent, Sr., Darlene and Roy
Byrd, William Brent, Jr., Beverly and Aaron Scott, Kenneth and Donna Brent,
Monica, Bonnie and Janie Brent; several grandchildren and great
grandchildren, brothers, sister and relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, Feb. 2, at 11:00 O’clock,
in the New Bethel A. M. E. Church, 414 North Seventh St., Vineland. Burial
will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. Friends will be
received at the church on Wednesday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock.
