Walter W. Buck, aged 81, of Port Norris,
died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, in South Jersey Regional Medical Center,
Vineland. He had been in failing health for the past 4 years.
The husband of the late Leola Cade Buck, he was born in Lusby, Md. and was
the son of the late Kelop and Tennie Howard Buck. He had been a resident of
Port Norris for 40 years and prior to that had lived in Calvert County, Md.
Prior to his retirement 16 years ago, he had been employed with the Pete
Lamonaca Clam Co. in Cape May.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: four daughters, Helen Cade, Atlantic City, June Harvey,
Brielle, Amalene Taylor, Woodbine and Mary Pringle, South Carolina; five
sons, James E. Buck, Bridgeton, William T. Buck, Bridgeton, Jame Cade, North
Carolina, William Cade, Vineland and Archie Cade, Boston, Mass.; one sister,
Gladys Buck, Port Norris; one brother, Amos Buck, Port Norris and a host of
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, Jan. 29, at 1:00 O’clock,
in John Wesley United Methodist Church, Ogden Ave., Port Norris. Burial will
be in Haleyville Cemetery, Commercial Township. Friends will be received at
the church Saturday between 12:00 and 1:00 O’clock. Funeral arrangements are
