John A. Frain, aged 62, of Bridgeton,
died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, in South Jersey Regional Medical Center,
Vineland. He had been a hospital patient for 3 weeks and in failing health
since 2000.
The husband of Delores Butler Frain, he was born in Wilmington, Del. and was
the son of the late Herschel and Lessie Smith Fraim. He had lived at his
present address since 1998 and had been a resident of the Bridgeton and
Cedarville area for most of his life.
Prior to retiring of disability in 1999, he had been employed with Clement
Pappas Co. in Seabrook and before that with Nardelli Bros. in Cedarville.
John was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Cedarville.
Besides his wife, survivors include: one son, John Frain, Jr., Bridgeton;
two daughters, Sharon Frain and Tanya Frain, both of Bridgeton; six
step-sons, Ossie Mills, Anthony Mills, Lonnie Mills and his wife Anna, all
of Bridgeton, Kenneth Mills and his wife Lisa, Indiana, Brian Mills,
Virginia and Rosevelt Mills, Ohio; six step-daughters, Debra Mills-Allen and
her husband John, Bridgeton, Patricia Mills-Goldsboro and her husband
Herman, Pearl Gallaher and her husband Rodney, Michelle Mills and Barbara
Johnson, all of Ohio and Delores Dentis and her husband Elvis, Indiana; his
mother-in-law, Pansy Butler, Bridgeton; five grandchildren, fifty one
step-grandchildren and twenty two step-great grandchildren and several
brothers and sisters.
Rev. James Goolsby will conduct funeral services in New Hope Baptist Church,
Schaffer Ave., Cedarville in Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 12:00 O’clock noon. Burial
will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. Friends will be
received at the church Tuesday morning between 11:00 and 12:00 O’clock.
