Grace Huster Ledden, age 84, of Upper
Deerfield Township died Tuesday morning, Jan. 18, 2005 at her home,
following a brief illness.
The wife of George A. Ledden, she was
born in Bridgeton the daughter of the late Harry and Bernice Hetzel Huster.
She had been a Upper Deerfield Township resident for 52 years and prior to
that had lived in Monroeville.
Before her retirement in 1985, she had
been employed as Cafeteria Supervisor at the Seabrook Schools, where she’d
worked for over 28 years.
She was a longtime member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church, a former
President of the Church Trustee Board, Sunday School Superintendent and a
former choir member, and also a member of the Cumberland County Ladies Fire
Auxiliary. Grace was an avid cook for her family and friends, and enjoyed
outings with her friends.
Besides her husband, survivors include
four sons, George C. Ledden of Millville, Charles Ledden of Murfreesboro,
N.C., Edwin Ledden of Paris, TN and Harry Ledden of Greenwich; three
daughters, Bernice Ledden, Carol Solorzano and June Schmidt all of Upper
Deerfield Township; two brothers, Harry Huster of Upper Deerfield Township
and Harold Huster of Upper Pittsgrove Township; three sisters, Helen Taggart
of Largo, FL, Margaret Coles of Woodstown and Ollie Moore of Vineland;
fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by
a daughter, Joan Ledden, two brothers, Emery Huster and Ellsworth Huster and
a sister, Verna Dunkel.
Funeral services will be held at the
Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway #77, Upper Deerfield Township, on
Friday morning, Jan. 21, 2005 at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in the
Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Elmer. Friends will be received on Friday morning
between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the funeral home.

the Deerfield U.M. Church, 1555 State Highway #77, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
