Anna R. “Ann” Morris, aged 96, of
Bridgeton died peacefully a the home of her daughter Joanne on Monday
morning, Jan. 17, 2005.
The wife of the late John D. Morris, Sr., she was born in Elizabeth and was
the daughter of the late Jacob and Eva Klofas Reginak. She had been a
Bridgeton resident for 70 years.
Prior to her retirement in 1986, she had been employed with the former J. J.
Newberry Dept. Store in Bridgeton and Vineland for 37 years.
Mrs. Morris was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church in
Bridgeton and loved traveling and gardening.
Survivors include: two sons, John D. Morris, Jr. and his wife Tori, Upper
Deerfield Township and Joseph N. Morris, Vineland and one daughter, Joanne
McCall and her husband William of Bridgeton. She was also preceded in death
by a brother, John Reginak and four sisters, Mary Steacker, Josephine
D’Auria, Sophie Smolney and Adeline Reginak.
Private funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 19, in the Padgett
Funeral Home, Upper Deerfield Township, with Deacon Carmen Bischer of
Immaculate Conception Church officiating. Burial was in Laurel Lawn
Cemetery, Bridgeton. Written condolences may be sent to
