George A. Ledden, age 90, of Upper
Deerfield Township died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at South Jersey
Hospital-Elmer after a brief illness.
Born in Woodstown, the son of the late
Leon and Jennie Cheeseman Ledden, he was the husband of the late Grace
Huster Ledden who died on January 18th of this year.
He had been an Upper Deerfield Township
resident for 52 years and prior to that had lived in Monroeville.
Before his retirement 20 years ago, Mr.
Ledden had been a self employed long distance truck driver for 40 years.
He was an avid gardener.
Survivors include four sons, George C.
Ledden of Millville, Charles Ledden of Murfreesboro, NC, Edwin Ledden of
Paris, TN and Harry Ledden of Greenwich; three daughters, Bernice Ledden,
Carol Solorzano and June Schmidt all of Upper Deerfield Township, 15
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter,
Joan Ledden and a brother, William Aubrey Ledden.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday
at 11 a.m. from the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper
Deerfield Township with the Rev. Ayn Masker, pastor of the Deerfield United
Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be made at Chestnut Grove
Cemetery in Elmer.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the
funeral home.

donations in Mr. Ledden’s memory be made to the Deerfield United Methodist
Church, P.O. Box 77, Deerfield, NJ 08313.
