Lloyd “Rocky” Wilmore, age 57 of Newark
and formerly of Bridgeton died Friday, July 8, 2005 at St. Michael’s Medical
Center in Newark where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in
declining health for the past five years.
Born in Bridgeton, the son of Sarah Lloyd
Waters and the late Lloyd Wilmore he had lived in Newark for five years and
prior to that had resided in Bridgeton. He had been employed in the dry
cleaning business in New York City and in the construction trade and as a
cook in New Jersey.
In addition to his mother, survivors
include two sons, Lloyd Anthony Fentress of Bridgeton and Lloyd Slater of
Vineland; four daughters, Ava Wilmore of Glassboro, Diane Fentress of
Bridgeton, Shay King of Baltimore, MD and Farah Slater of Vineland; four
brothers, Andrew Waters of Millville, Adam Waters of Paulsboro, Jerry Waters
of Bridgeton and Lloyd Johnson of Mizpah; six sisters, Jeanette Palmer of
Bridgeton , Linda Bryant of San Antonio, TX, Starlene Sorter of Millville,
Doretha Rice of Vineland, Eva Williams of San Antonio, TX and Sarah Waters,
Millville along with several grandchildren. He was predeceased by two
sisters, Ida Anderson and Ella Waters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday
at 12 Noon at the Evangelistic Gospel World Mission, 270 Bank Street,
Bridgeton.
Burial will be made at Fordville Memorial
Park in Fairfield Township.
Friends may call on Thursday one hour
prior to the services at the church.
