John T. Bard
 

John T. Bard, 71, of Upper Deerfield Township, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, in S. J. R. M. C., Vineland. He had been in failing health for the past 6 months.

The husband of Christina Pierce Bard, he was born in Elmer and was the son of the late William and Louise Johnson Bard. He had lived in Upper Deerfield for 5 years and prior to that had resided in Cedarville.

John had been employed as a truck driver with Ferrari Trucking Co. in Vineland for several years.

He was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indian Tribe. He enjoyed country music, fishing, hunting and playing his mandolin.

Besides his wife, survivors include: two sons, John Bard, Jr. and Michael Bard; five daughters, Cheryl Bard, Lucy Bard, Brenda Garfole, Kathy Garcia and Lisa Bard; one sister, Doris Carney; three brothers, Walter Bard, Benjamin Bard and Robert Bard; twenty two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Bard and four sisters, Maryanne Gould, Edith Brent, Terry Sheffeld and Grace Steward.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, June 18, at 11:00 O’clock, in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township. Burial will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. A viewing will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock.
