Alfred “Fert” Green, 58, of Millville,
died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, in Cooper Medical Center, Camden, where he had
been a patient for the past 2 weeks.
Mr. Green was born in Bridgeton and was the son of Alfreda Green-Taylor of
Millville and the late Harold Taylor. He had lived in Millville for 13 years
and prior to that had been a resident of Bridgeton.
Alfred had been employed as a presser with Hancock Cleaners in Bridgeton and
before that with the former Central Cleaners in Bridgeton.
He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army.
Besides his mother, survivors include: his wife, Anna Mae Jenkins Green; two
daughters, Tanya Green and Tracy Green, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; three
step-daughters, Tawanda McCoy, Millville, Yolanda Thompson and Joann Smith,
both of Bridgeton; one step-son, Shuntik McCoy, Millville; three sisters,
Bertha Walker, Bridgeton, Julia Height, Bridgeton and Joyce McCaulla,
Elmira, N. Y; two step-brothers, Willie J. Taylor, Newark and Glenwood
Taylor, Bridgeton; several grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, at 12:00 O’clock noon, in
the Fruit of The Spirit Ministries Church, 305 South Avenue, Bridgeton.
Burial will be in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Township. A viewing
will be held at the Church Tuesday morning between 11:00 and 12:00 O’clock.
