Charles C. Hemple, age 80, of Upper
Deerfield Township died Thursday afternoon, June 30, 2005 at his home after
a brief illness.
Born in Hopewell Township, the son of the
late Joseph and Anna Dalton Hemple, he was the husband of Mildred Brown
Hemple. He was an Upper Deerfield Township resident most of his life.
Prior to his retirement 19 years ago he
had been employed with the Suburban Propane Company in Bridgeton for 35
years. Until this past January he had also owned and operated Charlie’s Auto
Sales in Bridgeton for over 20 years.
Mr. Hemple was a veteran of World War Two having served with the United
States Marines and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Millville. He
was also an avid bowler.
In addition to his wife survivors include
a son, T. Carl Hemple, Sr. and his wife Gladys of Bridgeton; a brother,
Thomas Hemple of Bridgeton; a sister, Ann Beckett of Hopewell Township; a
grandson, T. Carl Hemple, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Hopewell Township;
three granddaughters, Melissa S. Hemple and Lauren Hemple of Upper Deerfield
Township and Lindsay Hemple of York, PA and two great grandsons, Kyle Baxley
and Evan James Hemple. He was predeceased by 8 brothers, James, Jasper,
George, Joseph, Jr., Clarence, William, Milwood and Robert Hemple and 3
sisters, Mary Rowley, Ella Mae Pettit and Bertha Billings.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on
Tuesday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the
services at the funeral home.
