Robert A. Pancoast, age 73, of Bridgeton
died Monday morning, June 27, 2005 at Genesis-Millville Center. He had been
in declining health for the past six months.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the
late Ralph W. and Pearl Manwaring Pancoast. He had been a Bridgeton resident
for 38 years and previous to that had lived in Salem.
Mr. Pancoast was a veteran of the United
States Army.
Before his retirement he had been
employed as a fork lift operator with Courier Systems in Rosenhayn. He had
also worked at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton for 18
years until the plant closed.
Survivors include six sons, R. Bruce of
Chantilly, VA, Randall of Upper Deerfield Twp., Steven of Jacksonville, FL,
Eric of Philadelphia and Matthew and Andrew Pancoast both of Deerfield Twp.;
four daughters, Lorna Pancoast of Buena, Suzanne Miletta of Cedarville and
Bethann and Rachel Pancoast both of Bridgeton, 21 grandchildren and 7
great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife, M. Luise
Oesterreich of Bridgeton. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin Paul Pancoast
and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Private funeral services will be held at
the convenience of the family from the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp.
Burial will be made at Laurel Lawn
Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
