Daniel H. Soma, age 59, of Millville died
Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the South Jersey Regional Medical Center in
Vineland where he had been a patient for three weeks.
Born in Bronx, New York, the son of
Elvira Rosario Soma and the late Frank F. Soma, he was the husband of Pamela
Johnson Soma. He had recently moved to his Millville address and prior to
that had resided in Alloway Township.
Prior to his retirement in 1985, Mr. Soma
was a career serviceman with the United States Army and was a veteran of the
Vietnam Conflict.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife and mother,
survivors include two sons, Frank S. Vitale and his wife Ashley of
Morgantown, West Virginia and Charles A. Vitale of Rosenhayn; a daughter,
Kelli A. Pratts and her husband Freddy of Millville; a brother, Joseph H.
Soma of Quinton and two grandchildren, Nikallo D. and Neena J. Pratts. He
was predeceased by a brother, Angel R. Soma.
A combined funeral service for Dan and his mother in law, Carrie L. Johnson
who died on Monday, will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State
Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Saturday, July 2nd at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place at the Cumberland
County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township.
Friends may call on Friday evening from
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
