Donald W. Brown, 75, of Bridgeton, died
Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland.
He had been in failing health for the past 6 months.
The husband of Elsie Gandy Brown, he was born in Van Wert, Ohio and was the
son of Plezzie Sattler Brown of Bridgeton and the late Addison Brown. He had
been a Bridgeton area resident since 1937.
Until their closing in 1984, he had been employed with the former
Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton in the Q. & S. Dept. for 35 years.
After that he had worked at Cobby’s Auto Parts and Bridgeton Motor Parts.
Donald was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving in Japan. He was also
an avid C.B. Radio enthusiast and went by the handle of “Charlie Brown”.
Besides his wife and mother, survivors include: two aunts, Olive Decker,
Fort Wayne, Ind. and Gloria Talbot, Long Island, N. Y. and one cousin, Allen
Sattler, Woodstown.
Rev. John Robbins will conduct funeral services in the Padgett Funeral Home,
1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday morning, April 4,
at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery,
Hopewell Township. Friends will be received Monday morning between 10:00 and
11:00 O’clock, prior to the services at the funeral home. For those who
