Margaret M. Swing, age 87, of Alloway
Township died Saturday morning, March 5, 2005 at the Southgate Healthcare
Center in Carneys Point. She had been in declining health for the past two
years.
Born in Greenwich, the daughter of the
late William and Bertha Wyble McAllister she was the wife of the late
Chester R. Swing. She had resided at her present address since 1946 and
prior to that had lived in Shirley and Bridgeton.
Mrs. Swing was a homemaker and a member
of the First Presbyterian Church of Swedesboro.
Her survivors include two sons, Chester
W. Swing of Quinton Township and George J. Swing of Stow Creek Township;
five daughters, Gladys M. Franco of Niceville, FL, Marion S. Abbott of
Alloway Township, Shirley Ann Swing of Cardiff and Linda J. Armstrong and
Carol S. Madiraca both of Pilesgrove; two sisters, Hazel M. Wilson of
Daretown and Helen Pompper of Canton; three brothers, Lester McAllister of
Friesburg and Melvin and Frank McAllister both of Cohansey, 17 grandchildren
and 22 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lewis,
Charles and Russell McAllister and two sisters, Anna Howell and Bertha
Hackett.
Funeral services will be held at the
PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on
Wednesday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be made at Lawnside Cemetery
in Woodstown.
Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the
services at the funeral home.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers
contributions in Mrs. Swing’s memory be made to the First Presbyterian
Church of Swedesboro, 526 Kings Highway, Swedesboro, NJ 08085.
