Marian M. Rose, 91, of Bridgeton, died
unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday May 11. 2005.
The wife of the late R. Warren Rose, she was born in Hamburg, N. Y. and was
the daughter of the late Hildreth and Hannah Mooney McAllister. She had been
a resident of Bridgeton since she was 7 years old.
Retired for several years, Mrs. Rose had formerly been employed with the
State of New Jersey as a clerical supervisor with D. Y. F. S.
She was a former of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church in Bridgeton.
Survivors include: one sister, Jeanne Morgan, Dayton, Ohio and several
nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy
Loper, Irene Picht, Mildred McIntosh and Doris Henderson.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Following
cremation, her ashes will be buried in the family lot in Overlook Cemetery,
Bridgeton. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions, in Mrs.
Rose’s memory, to either the New Jersey Library for the Blind, P. O. Box
501, Trenton, N. J. 08625 or the Cumberland County Meals on Wheels Program,
c/o Cumberland County Office on Aging, 590 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton, N. J.
