Funeral services for Phillip J. Tisa, who
passed away in Charleston, S. C., will be held in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME,
1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Saturday afternoon, June
11, at 2:00 O’clock, with Deacon Carmen Bischer of Immaculate Conception
Church, Bridgeton, officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home
Saturday afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00 O’clock.
Mr. Tisa was born in Port Norris and was the son of the late Eugene and
Josephine Delario Tisa. He was a retired Staff Sergeant with the United
States Air Force, having served for 20 years and had also retired from Civil
Service. Phillip served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include: his wife Patricia of North Charleston, S. C.; two
daughters, Lena and Josie; two sons, Tisa Gabretti, Tacoma, Wash. And Berlin
Gabretti, U. S. Coast Guard, stationed in New Orleans; two sisters, Rose
Gilmore, Newfield and Carmella Morrison, Bridgeton; two brothers, Pete Tisa,
Bridgeton and Augie Tisa, Tamarac, Fla.; ten grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Tisa.
Following the services burial will take place in the Cumberland County
Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Township. In lieu of flowers the family suggests
