Mary E. DiMatteo, 85, of Madison,
Ga., formerly of Bridgeton, died after a brief illness, on Sunday, Nov.
27, 2005, in the Madison Health & Rehab Center in Georgia.
The wife of the late Joseph DeMatteo, who passed away in September of
2003, she was born in Salem and was the daughter of the late Harley
Rader, Sr. and Margaret Ryan Rader. She had lived in Georgia for the
past 1 ˝ years and prior to that had been a resident of Bridgeton for
most of her life.
Mary was a homemaker and was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church
of Bridgeton.
Survivors include: two sons, Joseph “Sam” DiMatteo and his wife Mary,
Bridgeton and Michael D. DiMatteo and his wife Margaret, Rosenhayn; one
daughter, Gail E. Wagner and her husband Robert, Madison, Ga.; one
brother, Charles “Simmie” Rader, Pennsville; three sisters, Catherine
Davis, Salem, Glennie Fithian, Salem and Margaret Mahala, Pennsville;
five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great-great
grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harley Rader, Jr.
and Dallas Rader, Sr. and one sister, Edna Rader.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, Dec. 4, at 1:00 O’clock,
in the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield
Township, with Canon E. Thomas Higgons officiating. Burial will be in
Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. A viewing will be held at the
funeral home Friday afternoon between 12:00 and 1:00 O’clock. Written
