Carolyn J. Barker, 40, of Millville,
died at her home on Thursday evening, Oct. 27, 2005. She had been in
failing health for the past 5 years.
The wife of Michael L. Barker, she was born in Bridgeton and was the
daughter of the late Matthew and Barbara Pancoast Overstreet. She had
been a resident of Millville since 1999 and prior to that had lived in
Greenwich.
Prior to retiring on disability two years ago, she had been employed as
a nurse’s aide at Cumberland Manor for 12 years.
Carolyn was a member of Chestnut Assembly of God Church in Vineland.
Besides her husband, survivors include: one son, Jack Williams, III,
Bridgeton; two daughters, Jennifer Eubanks, Bridgeton and Jill Williams,
Millville; on step-son, Michael L. Barker, Mt. Holly; two
step-daughters, Jessica Barker and Amanda Barker, both of Mt. Holly;
three sisters, Florence Sipps, Bridgeton, Doris Hughes, Pennsylvania and
Betty Glaspey, Delaware; two brothers, Matthew Overstreet, Greenwich and
Bobby Overstreet, Millville and five grandchildren.
Rev. Paul D. Sprouse will conduct funeral services in the PADGETT
FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on
Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Centerton
Free Will Baptist Cemetery, Pittsgrove Township. A viewing will be held
at the funeral home on Tuesday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock.
