Diane M. Auger, 62, of Bridgeton, passed
away Sunday morning, Sept. 4, 2005, in the Cumberland Manor, Hopewell
Township. She had been in failing health for the past 10 years.
The wife of John R. Auger, she was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was the
daughter of the late Franklin C. and Helen Hartsough Oertle. She had been a
resident of Bridgeton since 1955 and prior to that had lived in Runnemede.
Diane had formerly been employed with Cumberland Mutual Insurance Co.,
Bridgeton Board of Education where she had worked as a secretary and the
former Price Bros. Lithographers. She had also been employed as a crossing
guard with the City of Bridgeton. She was a graduate of Immaculate
Conception Regional School and Bridgeton High School, Class of 1968.
She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church in Bridgeton.
Besides her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Kimberly Auger Fogle,
Bridgeton and Michelle Dawson, Pendell, Pa.; one sister, Nancy Hess, Absecon
and one brother, Franklin C. Oertle, Jr., Vineland.
The funeral will originate in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway
77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday morning, Sept. 9, at 9:00 O’clock,
followed by her Funeral Liturgy in St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic
Church, 45 Central Avenue, Bridgeton, at 10:00 O’clock. Burial will be in
Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township. A viewing will be held at the
funeral home on Thursday evening between 7:00 and 9:00 O’clock. Written
