Jeffrey Clay Govan
 

Jeffrey Clay Govan, age 37, of Vineland, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005 the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Elk Township.

Born in Bridgeton on February 12, 1968, the son of the late Clarence and Marion Haynes Govan, he was the husband of Laverne Mole Govan. He had resided in Vineland for the past 10 years and prior to that had lived in Millville and Port Norris.

Mr. Govan was employed with Santelli Trucking in Vineland for 15 years and had also worked at Wheaton Plastics in Millville for several years until completing Canterbury Career School where he received his Commercial Tractor Trailer Driving License. He attended the Port Norris Elementary School and was a 1986 graduate of Millville Senior High School.

Jeffrey was an avid sports fan and enjoyed being involved in sports with his son, Jamere who is active with Vineland football and baseball teams.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Laverne Mole Govan and one son, Jamere A. Govan both of Vineland; two stepchildren, Kenny Watford and Rasheka Watford; four brothers, David Govan, Ronald Govan, Jack Govan and his wife Charlene, Anthony Govan and his wife Sharon; 10 sisters, Margerie Neely, Marcia Johnson Govan, Delores Lee, Terri Gilmore and husband Bobby, Joan Forman and husband Donald, Jean Govan, Vivian Martin and husband Robert, Carolyn Channel and husband David, Elizabeth Govan, Martha Butler and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Govan and a sister, Marion Govan. He also leaves behind two special close friends, Patrick Camper and Joseph Galliano.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the In His Presence Worship Center, 225 East Broad Street, Millville.
Burial will be made at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Township.

Friends may call on Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
