John C. Klein, age 85, of Hopewell
Township died Thursday, September 15, 2005 at South Jersey Regional Medical
Center in Vineland. He had been in declining health for the past two years.
Born in Flushing, New York, the son of
the late Joseph and Mary Stebner Klein he was the husband of Lucille Bookman
Klein. He had been a Hopewell Township resident for one and a half years and
prior to that had resided in Cedarville for 33 years coming to the area from
Long Island, New York.
Mr. Klein was a veteran of World War Two
having served with the United States Army and the Merchant Marines.
He was a self employed contractor and
specialized in the construction of greenhouses.
Mr. and Mrs. Klein celebrated their 65th
wedding anniversary this past August.
He enjoyed attending flea markets as a
hobby.
In addition to his wife, survivors
include three daughters, Sheryl Scholpp of Long Island, NY, Marlene
Kristovich and Lynette Klein both of Hopewell Township; two sons, John
Klein, Jr. of Malaga and Raymond Klein of DE; two brothers, William Klein of
PA and Anthony Klein of KY, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He
was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Raymond Klein.
Funeral services will be held on Monday
at 11:00 a.m. from the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper
Deerfield Township.
Burial will be made at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell
Township.
Friends may call on Monday morning from
9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
